The three initial procedures are trademarked as theTransmigrator, the conservative, and the mediator. The transmigratorprovides true, transparent network file migration services that canincrease the size of existing file systems many times over. Theconservator is an enterprise-wide storage repository that can incorporateoptical disk jukeboxes and magnetic tape libraries. The mediator is avolume and removable media device management product that providesmounting, queuing, and deadlock prevention services. All threetechnologies together form a hierarchical storage management product.
